Child in serious condition after being hit by van

A young girl has been hit by a van in Forest Lawn.
The four year-old was hit at the corner of 39th street and 19th avenue.
Adam Loria with EMS tells 660News, the girl was rushed to Alberta Children’s Hospital in serious, but stable condition.
Police say the child suffered head injuries.
A police convoy escorted the ambulance to hospital.
Loria says the area has been blocked off to traffic, as police on scene investigate.
