India is set to make a huge investment in the Alberta oilsands.
The Globe and Mail reports the country’s state-owned energy giant will make it’s first investment in the play.
That could spark some fierce competition with Chinese companies looking to hit it big up north.
Edy Wong with the University of Alberta business school says India has been falling behind China in the global energy race and may be looking to make up lost ground.
