Canada’s Avalanche Centre says it needs more money.
The centre says it needs to triple its budget to three million dollars a year to properly run its warning system.
The centre’s executive director Ian Tomm tells the Globe and Mail they’re facing possible layoffs.
He says this month’s deadly avalanche near Revelstoke stretched the centre’s budget 24-thousand dollars into the red.
