Dial-a-drunk campaign a success

An advertising blitz encouraging citizens to report drunk drivers is working.

Since Campaign 911 was launched in the fall, the number of calls from Calgarians reporting suspected impaired drivers has increased by 60 per cent.

A Mothers Against Drunk Driving spokesperson tells The Calgary Sun the results are phenomenal.

The number of people charged with impaired driving has also increased since the campaign started by 17 per cent.
