Reduction in speed on SB Deerfoot

Drivers who use southbound Deerfoot south of Blackfoot are going to have to let off the gas a little bit for the next week and a half.
Carmax is replacing the barriers in the centre medians and have reduced the speed limit to 80 kilometres per hour.
Deerfoot Maintenance Manager Phonse Morgan tells 660News it takes a bit of time to remove all the old pieces and pour new concrete.
Morgan says the speed reduction is to keep the workers safe.
Morgan says this work is being done in conjunction with the street cleaning closures that are currently taking place on the Deerfoot at night.
