Around 50 people in southern Alberta are still without power thanks to last week’s wicked spring storm.
Fortis customers around Brooks, Bassano, Coaldale, Picture Butte, Taber and Vauxhall still have no service.
Crews spent much of Sunday repairing downed lines along rural roads.
Jennifer MacGowan with Fortis tells 660News the amount of repairs that need to be done will take time.
Wet snow and high winds snapped power poles on Wednesday and knocked down wires disrupting service to 50,000 homes.
Crews are working around the clock and power is expected to be restored by Monday.
