If you’re looking for a guaranteed campsite this May long weekend, you don’t have long to act.
There are fewer than 300 spots left in the province that you can reserve.
If you want to stay close to home, your first stop should be the Alberta Parks website at www.AlbertaParks.ca for information on where to find about 175 first-come-first-serve campsites near Calgary.
Tourism Minister Cindy Ady tells 660News if you don’t have a site, there are still some available.
She says there are a whole bunch of other campgrounds that aren’t on the reservation system right now and people just have to call for availability.
She says there’s about 40 first-come-first-serve spots in Kananaskis and another 30 in southern Alberta.
