Alberta’s health chief is taking to the papers to defend big executive payouts.
In today’s Calgary Sun, Alberta Health President Stephen Duckett writes that there are new rules deciding how much and when health bosses should be paid.
He says under the new rules, executives don’t get paid unless they meet tough performance standards.
Duckett says Albertans need to understand AHS was legally obligated to pay out a bunch of huge bonuses recently, but that won’t be the case in the future.
