Spock comes home to Vulcan

Hundreds lined the streets in the town of Vulcan, waving and cheering as Spock drove by, just behind a replica of the Starship Enterprise on Friday.

There were people wearing Vulcan ears and Star Trek costumes while holding up signs.

Leonard Nimoy climbed onto the stage and said he’s been a Vulcan for 44 years, so it’s about time he came home.

He added, of all his travel around the world for Star Trek appearances, this was one of the most touching.

Lana says it was awesome to see him.

“It was totally something I never expected,” she says. “I had a blast.”

Nimoy is in Calgary for the Comic and Entertainment Expo, but has been planning a visit to Vulcan for months now.

He declared the town the Star Trek capital of Canada.
