Wait continues for bridge report

The wait continues for a report into the awarding of a 25 million dollar contract to build a bridge over the bow river.

The Calgary Sun reports the city’s auditor has completed the investigation into the controversial project, but the document has yet to be made public.

Alderman Diane Colley-Urquhart tells columnist Rick Bell she fears council members and the public won’t get the answers to their questions about the project until just before the civic election this fall.

The development has been under attack ever since the city decided to hire a Spanish designer to build the expensive footbridge almost 2 years ago.
