One Calgary organization is trying to get kids out and about.

“Youth are Awesome” offers teens and pre-teens ways to get involved in the community and and get active.

“In the northeast at Village Square Leisure Centre, they’re holding ‘Pool Party Palooza,’ there’s an open mic night tied in with LiveStyle, an outdoor concert being held at Olympic Plaza,” says organizer Kaitlin Gordon.

There are also various job fairs going on.

Youth Week runs through Sunday.
