Dangerous criminal deported

A man with a long history of violence in Calgary has been deported.

Frank Fayke Dwomoh was a “hired gun” who was sent to prison for shooting a drug dealer in the leg in 2004, according to the Calgary Herald.

The 29-year-old was convicted in 2005, and completed serving his sentence last year.

Dwomoh also pleaded guilty to assault with a weapon for throwing a glass bottle at a four-year-old boy, during an unrelated incident. The judge described the act as ‘parking rage.’

Dwomoh was kept in the custody of the Canada Boarder Service Agency until being removed from our country on Wednesday.

“I welcome the news that the CBSA has successfully removed this violent criminal from Canada,” said the Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety. “Removing dangerous criminals from our country is integral to protecting Canadians and making our communities safe. The removal of inadmissible individuals is necessary to preserve the integrity of our immigration system for those who come to our country lawfully.”
