Calgary police are taking part in a river clean-up this weekend.
Two officers from the Marine Unit will be working with the Underwater Outlaws Scuba Social Club to scour the bottom of the Bow River Saturday to search for garbage.
Teams will then focus on cleaning up the Elbow River on Sunday.
In the past, unusual items like bikes, shopping carts and even weapons have been recovered from the riverbed.
The clean-up coincides with the 43rd Annual Pathway and River Cleanup which will be held Sunday.
