Violent criminal deported

The Canada Boarder Services Agency has forced another violent criminal from the province.

The news comes just one week after the deportation of a Calgary-based man with a long criminal history.

Manh Phi Nguyen was removed from Canada on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old and his brother were convicted of manslaughter in 2000 for the death of an Edmonton man.

His brother was removed from Canada in 2008.

“I commend the CBSA for successfully removing this violent offender from Canada,” said the Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety. “Our government is committed to ensuring criminals are taken off our streets and out of our communities. This removal is a clear sign that our efforts are working.”

Last Wednesday the CBSA deported Frank Fayke Dwomoh, a “hired gun” who was sent to prison for shooting a drug dealer in the leg in 2004.
