Dozens of people have been injured after a ferry has struck a pier at the dock on New York’s Staten Island.

Most suffered only minor injuries.

Police and Fire Department officials say they’re unsure how  much damage was done to the ferry.

In 2003, the ferry slammed into a pier with about 1,500 people aboard during evening rush hour, killing 11 passengers and injuring dozens.
