Mass exodus from Calgary starts

The May long weekend is upon us.
Despite cool temperatures and a ban on alcohol, lots of people will be getting out of town for a little rest and relaxation.
660News spoke with many travellers leaving town on Highway 1 Friday morning, all with huge smiles on their faces.
Lyndie and her husband aren’t about to let the chilly weather dampen their spirits.
“We really don’t care,” she says. “It’s nice if it’s good weather, but we go good or bad.”
She adds that a weekend, even a long one, isn’t enough time to enjoy a good vacation, but they’ll take what they can get.
