While many Calgarians are hitting the highway or the golf links, Sunshine Village Resort is hosting a variety of activities this long weekend.
Ski events include the “Bikinis for Breast Cancer” fundraiser Saturday around 2:00 p.m. There will also be live music throughout the weekend and beer gardens.
Ladies over 18-years-old who have raised money for the fundraiser will be dressed in bikini tops and snow bottom pants, and will ski down the face of Strawberry run with a stop in the village.
Doug Firby with the resort tells 660News with the warmer weather, they’ve had a lot of melting in the last week but snow conditions are still good.
Goat’s Eye Mountain was closed a couple of weeks ago, so only the mountains accessible from the village, including Standish and Lookout Mountain, still have good conditions for skiing.
Sunshine Village is about an hour and a half from Calgary, located in Banff National Park.
