Stunt plane crashes

A stunt plane has crashed at Springbank Airport, ending up with it’s wheels in the air.

Two men were aboard, but both escaped injury.

The 1940s era biplane flipped on landing Monday morning when a student pilot was practising.

Springbank Airport manager Larry Stock says the Taildragger is particularly tough to fly and cross winds may have been a factor when it flipped upside down on the runway.

He says the aircraft sustained some damage, but can be repaired.
