Woman hit by C-Train

A woman has been hit by a C-Train while trying to cross 7th Avenue at 4th Street S.W. in downtown Calgary.

She has been taken to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries early Thursday afternoon.

Police believe the C-Train was working normally and sounded its horn, but for some reason the woman crossed 7th Avenue and was hit.

The 7th Avenue C-Train line was closed for about an hour and shuttle buses were called in.
