Almost time to bid adieu to spring

Spring has finally sprung in Calgary, just in time for summer to arrive at 5:28 Monday morning!

660News Meteorologist Jill Taylor says there was a lot of rain in parts of southern Alberta this spring.

But in Calgary, some months were actually below average for rainfall and way above average when it came to snow.

In May, the city received 24 cm of snow, more than double the average of 9.4 cm.  In April, 27 cm of snow fell – again, well above the average of 15.4 cm.

What can we look forward to for summer?

She says at this point, below-average temperatures to start the first couple of weeks of summer and we may be dealing with dry conditions.

But Taylor says, keep in mind a lot can change with seasonal forecasts.
