Oilpatch workers needed

“Help wanted” signs will once again be popping up within the oil and gas industry.

A Mercer survey reports oilpatch workers will be in high demand in as little as ten years.  72 per cent of those surveyed say they will leave their posts within the decade.

Don Herring with the Canadian Association of Oilwell Contractors says they’re already looking for a few good men or women but many don’t want to leave their secure jobs to once again enter the patch.

The survey reports most of the vacancies will come from baby boomers who are retiring.
