Police continue C-Train fatality investigation

Police continue to investigate how a three-year-old boy fell to his death, after he was trapped between the LRT platform and a C-Train in the 300 block of 7th Avenue S.W.

They say there’s nothing at this point to indicate foul play was involved in Tuesday’s incident, but it is a part of their investigation and they still have a number of witnesses to speak with.

Staff Sgt. Michael Watterston tells 660News, they have only had a little contact with the toddler’s family and police did require an interpreter to communicate with the family.

He adds now is not the time to conduct an in-depth interview, as the family deals with their grief.

Police are also interviewing a large number of eyewitnesses as a part of the ongoing investigation.

People who witnessed the event and have not spoken with investigators yet are asked to call police at 403-266-1234.
