Southbound QE II reopens

Soundbound lanes of the QE II are now open after being shut down for over eight hours.
The closure happened after construction crews dropped a giant girder onto the roadway near CrossIron Mills mall.
The company that owns CrossIron Mills tells 660News crews scrambled to remove the massive piece of concrete.
A spokesperson with Ivanhoe Cambridge says they are investigating the incident and for the time being construction has been stopped.
