Not everyone is excited about cowboys wrestling animals at the Stampede Rodeo.
The Vancouver Humane Society has bought a huge ad in the Calgary Herald targeting calf-roping.
It shows a cowboy putting a rope around a calf’s neck and a caption saying “That’s Entertainment?”
The Globe and Mail reports the society put up $15,000 for the ad.
The Herald refused to run a similar ad last year, to much controversy.
