Mail in ballots back

The City of Calgary has decided to bring back mail in ballots for the upcoming municipal election.

The system was dropped for the 2007 election after a ballot stuffing scandal in the 2004 vote.

There will be one difference this time around, voters who qualify for the mail in ballots need to attach a photocopied version of a piece of identification required.

Those who qualify for the mail in ballot include anyone away, if you can’t physically make it to a voting booth or and any one working internally on election day.
