Charges laid after four-hour standoff

Calgary police have charged a 21-year-old man after a rowdy party Tuesday in Abbeydale, that ended with a four-hour standoff.

Christopher Joel Tetz was taken into custody after neighbours called police complaining of shots fired.

Police say they seized a semi-automatic sawed-off shotgun and ammunition from the house in Aberdare Place.

Tetz is now facing several charges relating to careless use of a weapon.
