Calgary toddler drowns in B.C.

A child who drowned in a British Columbia lake last week was from Calgary.

Two-year-old Michael Horner died in Lake Okanagan shortly after his family arrived at their rental vacation spot on the popular resort lake.

Police say the boy was found unconscious in the water and wasn’t wearing a life jacket because his family had just arrived at their destination.

Medical crews weren’t able to revive the toddler after he was flown by air ambulance to a hospital in Kelowna.
