Ag meeting stateside deemed a win

The recent Western Association of State Departments of Agriculture meeting in Whitefish, Montana is being called a huge success.
Alberta was represented by Tory MLA Len Mitzel.
Mitzel tells 660News it’s important to keep the lines of communication open between Alberta and it’s major trading partners like the United States.
He says that’s because 60 per cent of the province’s agriculture products are consumed in the U.S.
Mitzel says next week a number of American agriculture representatives will be visiting Calgary.
They’ll be finding out what’s happening with animal health pertaining to the trade of beef and pork products.
