Red Deer beavers get a reprieve

A plan to kill some aggressive beavers has been put on hold.
The city of Red Deer had wanted to use fatal traps to get rid of the rodents after a beaver killed a husky at an off-leash park and some other dogs were attacked.
The parks superintendent says several private landowners are offering up their land to save the beavers.
He says if the animals can be safely moved, they will be.
