Grenade in Grande Prairie

A grenade that was found in a box of keepsakes created quite the stir in Grande Prairie Thursday.
RCMP say they were called to an RV park by a person who found the explosive device while going through the possessions of a relative.
Military personnel from CFB Cold Lake managed to safely detonate the grenade, which is believed to have been from the second world war.
They say it was never a threat to public safety.
