Mourners gather to remember Samuel Bete

Dozens of mourners gathered Sunday to remember 9-year-old Samuel Bete.

The young boy was killed last week when he fell 28 storeys from his S.W. apartment balcony in the Beltline area.

A service was held at McInnis and Holloway’s Eastside Memorial Chapel.

The young boy’s parents believe their son was leaning over the railing when he fell to his death.

A public candlelight vigil is planned for Bete on Saturday, August 7th.

It will be held between 6 and 9 p.m. at 123 10th Avenue S.W. in the parking lot where the boy died.
