What’s open and closed this Heritage Day

Don’t forget to take out the trash!  There is regular garbage and recycling on Monday and city landfills will be open until 5:00 p.m.

For those looking for some activities, why not head down to the zoo?

Animal lovers can check out all the sights and sound of the various critters until 5:00 p.m.

Or if the zoo’s not the destination of choice, The Telus World of Science is open until 8:00 p.m.

City-operated pools, athletic parks and administrative buildings are all closed for the holiday.

Also closed is the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary.

You can save gas and leave the car behind, but keep in mind Calgary Transit is running on a Sunday level of service.

Also, there will be shuttle service instead of C-Trains going in to the downtown core due to maintenance and construction at the Bridgeland-Memorial, Erlton-Stampede and Sunnyside stations.
