Calgary Transit is investigating an early morning fire on a C-Train.
The fire was called in just after 8 a.m. Wednesday and disrupted service for a little while as the train was evacuated and others were re-routed around the problem.
The small fire started in the centre car of a train at the Canyon Meadows station.
City transit says faulty brakes may have been the cause but they’re still investigating.
Transit says if the fire is a result of mechanical failure, the problem will be immediately addressed, to make sure it doesn’t occur on other trains.
No injuries were reported and C-Train service has returned to normal.
