New Flames jerseys get checked

When the Flames take on Montreal at the Heritage Classic at McMahon stadium in February they’ll be wearing a retro jersey.

But the yellow and red striped hockey sweater, which will honour the Calgary Tigers, the city’s first professional hockey team, is getting mixed reviews.

Calgarians aren’t exactly enthralled with it, with most people telling 660News they wouldn’t buy it.

Their big issue seems to be the colour combination, with some saying it’s reminiscent of a certain fast food outlet.
