MLA Falls Short

Politicians are known for breaking campaign promises and a Tory MLA from Edmonton is no exception.
The Calgary Herald reports during the 2008 campaign, Carl Benito stated he would donate his MLA salary as a scholarship to young people in his Millwoods riding.
Two years later, that promise has fallen short.
Benito has given money for 12 scholarships but nowhere near his entire salary.
His Liberal opponent from the election says, she remembers people not voting for her because of Benito’s donation claim.
