Boats and helicopters are trying to find a missing plane off Nova Scotia’s northern coast and the two Calgary men who were on board.
Along with the pilot, there was only one passenger on the Cessna aircraft.
He is being identified as Dennis Forgeron, the President and CEO of Calgary-based Forent Energy.
The plane was on approach to Sydney’s airport in bad weather when it veered northward and dropped off radar Thursday night.
An official with the Edmonton-based engineering and design firm Stantec has confirmed they sold the plane last week and it was picked up at Buttonville Airport outside Toronto on Thursday.
There was heavy fog when the plane vanished.
Right now, search conditions are described as almost ideal, with clear skies and moderately choppy seas.
