It’s an exciting day for aviation enthusiasts.
The Mynarski Memorial Lancaster will be departing from the SAIT Art Smith Aero Centre for three flights Friday.
Each hour-long flight gives four lucky people the chance to ride in the historic aircraft.
Herb Grieder, a volunteer with the Calgary Aerospace Museum tells 660News the Lancaster is one of two in the world, and the only one in North America.
Two other aircraft will be on display at the Aero Centre Today, including a CT155 Hawk Fighter Jet and a CF18 Hornet.
The CF18 Hornet is the type of plane a pilot safely ejected from, prior to its crash last month at the International Airshow in Lethbridge.
