Thieves target ATMs in Calgary

Another warning from police to be extra cautious when you take out money from an ATM.

Authorities received two reports of machines at two different TD Bank locations being tampered with on Saturday.

In each case, police found a false front and a small camera above the pin pad.

Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News, the best preventative measure is to cover the pin pad as you punch in your pin, even if you’re alone.

Officers are currently investigating both instances and are working with TD security to learn the identity of the culprits.
