Foreign deaths in Afghanistan pass 2,000 mark

The NATO mission in Afghanistan has marked a grim milestone.

Unofficial tallies as of Sunday show foreign deaths in the country have now passed two thousand since the war began in 2001.

At least 60 per cent of the casualties are American.

Canada has been involved in the Afghan mission since 2002 and has lost 151 soldiers.

That’s the third highest of any country, behind the U.S. and U.K.
