A man serving time for manslaughter is suing the Calgary Remand Centre.
Jason Woods is seeking $40,000 in damages after he says he told guards he was in danger and they refused to move him to a safer cell. He was later beaten up by other inmates.
According to the Calgary Sun, the lawsuit says guards not only ignored Woods but taunted him after he made his request.
Woods is serving a six year sentence for his role in the 2006 death of a Calgary drug dealer.
