Calgary police are looking for two men after a home invasion in the northeast community of Coral Springs at around 10 Thursday morning.
One of the culprits showed government ID and a law enforcement badge to a resident at a home in 200 block of Coral Shores Landing, telling them he was from Revenue Canada and demanded to enter the home to look for hidden money.
At that point, one of the culprits claimed they had a search warrant and started to scour the house.
When the residents realized the culprits were not who they said they were, the victims tried to make them leave, but the suspects restrained the residents and forced them to turn over an undisclosed amount of money.
Police believe this was not a random attack and the victims were specifically targeted.
The suspects were described as follows:
Culprit #1 – Male Caucasian, 30 years old, 5’10” 180 lbs.
Culprit #2 – Male Hispanic 30 years 5’4″ 170 lbs.
