A Calgarian gets an Emmy

It was Emmy gold for a Calgarian this weekend!

Dave Pierce won for his music direction of the opening ceremonies at the Vancouver Olympics.

He tells The Calgary Herald he’s spent his life working towards this goal and it was “extremely intimidating” to be sitting next to his idols at the awards.

Pierce is the director of grandstand shows at the Calgary Stampede and has worked with the likes of Michael Buble and Jann Arden.
