Bottle drive robbed

Part of a bottle drive haul was stolen over the weekend by callous thieves.

The proceeds were supposed to go to underprivileged kids.

About 70 bags of bottles, stored outside the home of a programmer with Footprints Dance Project, were swiped early Saturday morning.

The Calgary Sun reports the stolen loot would have provided lunches for the kids for three weeks, or dance attire for ten of them.

Despite the loss, the group is going ahead with a performance scheduled for Sunday at the Helenic Hall on Tamarac Crescent S.W.

Everyone is welcome to come and make a donation.
