A high risk offender is now facing new charges.

Calgary police say on Sunday Keegan Troy Spearchief assaulted two women in a home in the southeast community of Dover.

When officers responded to the scene they say Spreachief was on the front lawn holding a large knife, challenging police to shoot him.

He was arrested after a brief foot chase.

He’s facing multiple charges including assault causing bodily harm.

Spreacheif has a long criminal history including being the first youth in Canada sentenced as an adult under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
