A fundraiser is happening tonight for the Museum of the Highwood in High River.
The facility saw hundreds of artifacts damaged in a massive blaze last month.
The museum’s curator tells The Calgary Herald only about two per cent of the 8,000 artifacts in the museum were damaged but insurance won’t cover the entire cost.
The artifacts damaged include old photos, wedding dresses and musical instruments.
The fundraiser starts at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Carlson’s on MacLeod Trail.
