Police reviewing 911 call

Police are telling us a little more about a 911 call that they were only made aware of last week involving Dustin LaFortune, a man said to have been tortured for months on end.

Police say not much is known at this point and they are still reviewing the tape.

Officers say the call was made on February 28th by someone said to be concerned at the time of the call.

The call was never followed up by police and they have launched an investigation to figure out why.

Officers say it wasn’t LaFortune that made the 911 call.

His former roommate Dustin Ward Paxton is facing charges of forcible confinement and assault in the case.

LaFortune moved to Victoria earlier this week to live with his mother after being dropped off at a Regina hospital severely beaten and emaciated back in April.
