A nationwide shortage of some prescription drugs is disrupting many patient treatment plans.
Up to 15 different drugs are in short supply and doctors are being forced to find substitutes for many of their patients.
Pharmacists tell the National Post the shortage is having a particularly bad impact on patients that have been stabilized on a certain drug for a number of years and can have bad reactions if the pills they’re taking are suddenly changed.
Manufacturing glitches are being blamed for the problem.
Doctors say it’s almost impossible to tell when it’ll be fixed.
