Drivers who use the northwest and northeast portions of Stoney Trail will find some major improvements in the coming weeks.
A spokesman for Alberta Transportation Infrastructure says construction is in the final stages for interchanges at Shaganappi Trail and Harvest Hills Boulevard.
It should be ready to open in a month.
There are traffic lights at the two northwest intersections at the moment and Trent Bancarz says drivers at Stoney Trail and Crowchild Trail are a year away from seeing a free flow there.
The lights at Nose Hill Drive and Crowchild will be the only interruptions on the Stoney Trail Drive from 16th Avenue NW to 17th Avenue SE.
