The provincial government has released a new report detailing four-months of public healthcare consultation.
Recommendations gathered from the report could help develop a new Alberta Health Act.
The report suggests people in Alberta want a health charter and a health-care advocate as part of any new legislation.
Those are two of the 15 recommendations being put forward.
The report was prepared by MLA Fred Horne, following consultations with thousands of Albertans at workshops and on the Internet.
Health Minister Gene Zwozdesky says he will respond to the recommendations next month.
The survey says the public wants healthcare that doesn’t limit access to publicly funded services, but also doesn’t encourage queue-jumping.
