A new addition to the downtown landscape opens on Thursday, bringing with it a few interesting features.
Jamieson Place is a 38-storey, 880 thousand square foot office complex, is opening on 4th Avenue Southwest.
It’s owned by the British Columbia Investment Corportation and will feature an innovative bio wall at the west end and a monument dedicated to the Alberta Champions, six important figures who helped develop Calgary and Alberta.
Spokesman John Marotta tells 660News the building will stand out with Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired architectural features, a few spires up the front of the building that will light up at night to create a dramatic addition to the Calgary skyline.
There will also be a winter garden on the second floor, located near the Plus 15 area.
